Chanfana is a traditional dish of Portuguese popular cuisine. It is made with goat meat, roasted in black clay pots in wood-fired ovens, immersed in red wine and seasoned with garlic, bay leaves, pepper, paprika and salt. It is slowly cooked until tender, allowing the meat to absorb the intense flavours of the ingredients in the sauce. Some dishes satisfy our hunger, while others awaken our memories. Chanfana belongs to the latter category. Its rich flavour, slow preparation and connection to ancient traditions make it a true journey into the past, where every bite seems to tell a story of family, belonging and identity.
From Friday to Sunday, the invitation is open to those who already enjoy chanfana and to anyone curious to try it for the first time. Gather your family or friends and share this speciality around the table at Tudo na Brasa.
