Morro do Sombreiro is a mountain in Benguela. After a stone lighthouse was built in 1969, it became a tourist landmark.
The way to get to the hill is made up of trails in the middle of nowhere, ideal for the more adventurous.
When you reach the top you will find a 360 degree view. The beach on this hill has various shades of blues and greens and white sand, and can only be accessed by boat.
At the top of the hill, on the right, you will have a view of the entire coast that goes from Santo António beach, continues along Morena beach and ends on the sides of Catumbela. To the left you can see the tip of the abundant bay.
