Joe Biden's visit boosts cultural and tourist development in Benguela

The visit of an influential Head of State such as the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, will bring significant impacts to the Hospitality, Tourism and Culture sectors in Benguela.

The recognition was expressed, this Tuesday, by the provincial director of the sector in Benguela, Pascoal Luís, stating that, in addition to economic benefits, Joe Biden's presence attracts global media coverage, highlighting the region as a relevant destination.
“This could spark international interest in the province's cultural and natural tourism, such as the beaches of Lobito, Baía Azul, the National Archeology Museum, and other attractions”, he said.

“To receive high-level delegations, it is common for hotels and other support infrastructures to receive investments or improvements, creating a legacy for the sector after the visit”, he pointed out, adding that the presence of the North American statesman will strengthen diplomatic ties and economic benefits and will encourage international investors to explore the tourism potential of Acacias Rubras, mainly in the ecotourism, cultural and luxury tourism sectors.

Parallel events to the visit, such as cultural exhibitions, craft fairs or artistic representations can also highlight the cultural riches of Benguela through theater, music and local gastronomy, increasing the appreciation of these elements on the global stage.
