Technicians from the Ministry of Tourism evaluate the tourist potential of Praia da Lua

The visit took place on January 16 and consisted of a working mission by a technical delegation from the Benguela Provincial Government and the Ministry of Tourism to Praia da Lua, located in the municipality of Dombe Grande, with the objective of technically assessing this tourism asset with a view to its possible classification as an Area of Interest and Tourism Potential.

The activity was led by the Director of the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of Benguela, Pascoal Bento Luís, and is part of the local Executive’s strategic actions aimed at the valorization and sustainable promotion of the province’s tourism resources.

During the visit, the technicians analyzed the beach’s natural conditions, accessibility, investment potential, environmental preservation, and socio-economic impact on local communities.
Praia da Lua stands out for its unique scenic beauty and natural formations, factors that make it a promising destination for national and international tourism.

The potential elevation of Praia da Lua to the category of Area of Interest and Tourism Potential could boost the economic development of the municipality of Dombe Grande and the province of Benguela, promoting job creation, increased private investment, and the strengthening of the tourism sector.

The Benguela Provincial Government thus reaffirms its commitment to diversifying the local economy, positioning tourism as one of the fundamental pillars for the sustainable development of the province.
