The professor, who spoke to the press, at the end of his first study, analysis and research visit at the Archeology Museum, said that history reflects beyond from the Angolan context, also from the world given its history.

The study, he explained, aims to verify the conditions of the infrastructures and artefacts that have existed there for many centuries , as well as evaluating the way in which archaeological pieces are conserved, having recognized that it has a historical potential for excellence, which contributes significantly to the advancement of African culture

Aníbal Gotelli confessed to having been quite surprised by the rehabilitation of the Benguela National Archeology Museum.

With the remodeling of the building, he highlighted, the archaeological pieces on display convey the cultural life, which more easily raises the level of historical knowledge of scholars.

“The feeling is one of satisfaction and admiration for the conservation and the existing collection”, expressed the Argentine researcher, adding that as former director of the protocol of the Republic from Argentina and, currently, a university professor leaves Benguela with knowledge of the historical and cultural reality.

The visit to Benguela, he said, was part of a day of fieldwork, aiming to reinforce cooperative relations between the cultures of Angola and Argentina, to the reinforcement of knowledge in this field, so that the true history of the two countries is never erased and is passed on to future generations.

The researcher made it known that as a university professor and researcher he has dedicated himself a lot to fieldwork, a fact that led him to climb the city of Acácias Rubras , to see up close the current originality of the Benguela National Archeology Museum.

According to the researcher, he has heard a lot about the museum institution and keeps with him several historical portraits of its previous image, which called for an urgent recovery, given the accentuated level of degradation.

“I travel a lot and make many visits to different countries around the world, every month of every year and it has been very difficult find places that are similar to the National Archeology Museum of Benguela”, he reinforced.

Aníbal Gotelli highlighted the format of the conference room of the National Museum of Archeology, in the center of that infrastructure, a unique model, an architectural project that enriches the wonders of Angola and Benguela, in particular.

According to the Argentine researcher, culture is intrinsic to the life of each human being, from language, music, art, leisure, creativity, among other segments, hence the qualities of the National Archeology Museum promote among scholars the incessant search for knowledge and the expansion of scientific tourism, which can positively impact the growth of the economy.

In Benguela, you can feel the true roots of African culture, a fact that becomes a real demonstration that many good things can be done, for the development of culture as a whole, at an international level, from the lands of Ombaka.

Aníbal Gotelli also found the results of archaeological research in Angola, dating back to 1800, including artefacts made of iron, stone, wood and straw, as well as their historical excavation dates and conservation conditions.

The diverse exhibitions of lithic instruments (choppers, iron spears, cores, bifaces and flakes), ceramic objects, macutas, shark teeth (Megalodon), which dates back thousands of years, beads, among others, dominated the visitor's attention.
