Potentials of tourism and hospitality highlighted at FAPITH

Several little explored bays and other tourist places in the province of Benguela, as well such as its hotel chain, are being advertised at the Agricultural, Fishing, Industry, Hotel and Tourism, ANGOP learned.

The bays of Birds and Elefantes, Canhoca beach, the mountains of Egipto Praia, are some of the points presented, through of a screen, with information from specialized personnel.

Speaking to journalists, the president of the Hotel and Tourism Association of the province of Benguela (AHTUB), Cláudio Silva "Pepino", stated that the Tourism sector is the fastest growing in the world, so "we cannot be far from this fact". "

We have several projects: we are going to create a tourist information point, where you can find tourist guides, buses for transport and other means", he explained.

To this end, the person responsible revealed that AHTUB is working with the Provincial Government of Benguela in order to locate the bays with greater tourist potential, for their requalification and making them available to the population.

Infrastructures to support the sector are also in the investment package.

He highlighted the restaurant sector, justifying that tourists, after walking several kilometers, need to rest and enjoy the gastronomy of the region and beyond.

"Today, bays from the 1970s are still explored, where there are too many people.

We are working with the Government to open the others and extend the offer", he pointed out.

On the other hand, businessman Jorge Gabriel is of the opinion that, for the class to collaborate in the development of Tourism and Hospitality, needs support. For him, "there are many doors that must be opened" to complete ongoing projects.

"We need banks to facilitate credits and the General Tax Administration to reduce the tax burden to help, mainly small and medium-sized companies", he justified.TC/CRB
