Benguela - A campaign called "Exemplary Driver", which aims to achieve improvements in the control of road circulation, was launched this Saturday , in Benguela, by the Provincial Command of the National Police.

According to the provincial director of Transport and Traffic, chief superintendent António Ngussi, who spoke to Angop, the campaign, which will run until the end of December, aims to raise awareness drivers to regularize their documentation, as drivers, and ensure the technical condition of the vehicles.

The officer made it known that, during the questioning of the drivers, the traffic regulatory agents check accessories such as triangle, fire extinguishers, reflective vests, jack, emergency wheel, in addition to checking the complete documentation of the vehicle and driver.

The person responsible said that 151 drivers were already questioned on this first day, of which only 44 proved to be “exemplary drivers”.

The director also mentioned that nine were questioned rental vehicles (taxi service) and ten motorbikes, of which three of the first group were exemplary and in the last group only one driver had organized documentation and the moving vehicle was in good condition.

António Ngussi added, on the other hand, that the driver who meets all the requirements required by the traffic regulatory agent receives a seal valid until the end of the year, which allows him to circulate without being challenged by others agents.
