According to the Administrator for Carrinho's financial area, Samuel Candundo, there are forecasts of moving around two million tons of various goods per year, when the group's manufacturing units are working fully.
Referring to investments related to cargo movement, the administrator said that in the first week of this month of November, the the construction of a branch that will connect the group's industrial complex, in Benguela, to the railway line, to facilitate the transport of goods from Porto to the group's factories and vice versa. “This branch will have a extension of 750 meters and will be completed in 90 days”, guaranteed the administrator.
Still within the scope of investments, Samuel Candundo announced that the acquisition of 100 wagons is planned to increase the batch of equipment to be used in the transport of goods. For the President of the Board of Directors of Porto do Lobito, Agostinho Felizardo, this is an opportunity to reestablish regularity in the movement of cargo and consequently the collection of revenue for the company port.
In turn, the president of the Board of Directors of the CFB, Luís Teixeira, also expressed his satisfaction as this will increase the options in cargo movement, as the aim is to reach Luau, Moxico province, where the extension of the railway line ends.
With a total of 17 factories diverse products, the Carrinho group currently has around 1000 workers and plans to reach 2,500 employees when it reaches its full capacity during operations.
