The potential of agritourism in the municipality of Cubal, still little explored, aroused the curiosity of the group of adventurers “Os Resistências”, who, this weekend, visited the region in a caravan of off-road jeeps
An alternative to escaping traditional tourist options and exploring new experiences, agritourism has stands out as a type of tourism that combines agricultural activities with tourism in rural areas.
Thus, Utalala Farm, which combines natural beauty and a history that dates back to colonial times, was the location chosen for the three-day concentration of the fleet of 60 4x4 vehicles, with the promotion of agritourism in mind.
According to Mário Kacongo, representative of the organization, this activity brought together, from the 28th to the 30th of June, off-road practitioners, that is, all-terrain , from the provinces of Benguela, Luanda, Huambo, Huíla, Cunene and Bié. In his opinion, tourists had the opportunity to experience life in the countryside and get to know the culture of the municipality of Cubal. Mário Kacongo made it known that the program also included sporting events and other cultural attractions at Fazenda Utalala, such as fishing in the lagoon, target shooting, Swedish and dancing tournaments.
He also highlighted the main objective of exploring little-known places across the country, in order to boost rural tourism and enhance culture, in addition to socializing between participants. It was also stated that the group took the opportunity to deliver a donation of basic necessities to the needy community in that location.
The owner of Fazenda Utalala, Nelito Monteiro, values the meeting of off-road lovers from various provinces of the country, as it provided moments of coexistence and contact with the natural environment.
