Africell inaugurates new art gallery in Benguela to promote local culture
Benguela, Angola - February 8, 2025 | Africell Angola has celebrated the inauguration of a new art gallery in Benguela, a space dedicated to the promotion of Angolan art and culture.


The event, which took place at Rua Alexandre Herculano, Largo de Africa, was attended by business leaders, local artists, government and community representatives, as well as Africell founder Ziad Dalloul, and members of the Africell Group Board of Directors. .
The opening of the 10a Benguela Gallery, with the launch of the Benguela Exhibition Colors, marks another step in cultural initiatives promoted by Africell Impact Foundation, the foundation of the company focused on support for cultural, sports and educational projects.
After the success of the gallery opened at Africell's headquarters in Luanda, the new gallery in Benguela was designed to offer an inclusive and affordable space, allowing local artists to expose their works and reach new audiences.

During the inauguration ceremony, Sam Williams, communication director of the Africell Group, highlighted the importance of the initiative for the local community.

"Art is a powerful tool to unite people and create opportunities for social transformation.
Gallery 10A Benguela reflects our commitment to the development of communities where we are inserted, promoting culture and celebrating Angolan talent," said the Director.

As part of the program of the day, the guests had the opportunity to watch the trailer for Lobito Bound, a documentary that explores the strategic importance of the lobito corridor.
Presented last year to the delegation of the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, who was in New York to the United Nations General Assembly, the documentary follows the renowned Dwayne Fields explorer on a 4,000 km trip to the Lobito.
