The promotion of theater in the province of Benguela in general, and in the municipality of Catumbela in particular, is the main objective of holding the third edition of the “Mar-KitTeatro” marathon ”, which takes place, from today until Sunday, at the Cinema Beneficente, in that municipality.
The meeting, held annually to show dramatic shows, without competitive purposes, aims to exchange experiences between and promote debates around the state of theater in that province on the coast of the country .
Under the initiative of the Colectivo de Artes 5 de Junho, nine collectives participate in the initiative, representing five provinces, namely the groups Bismas Teatro, Núcleo Monumental, Horizonte D'Artes and Colectivo Paulo Teixeira Jorge, all from Benguela.
They also confirmed their presence in Benguela, the Colectivo de Artes Cénicas Olombangui, from Bié, Nova Lua Teatro, from Cuanza-Sul, Núcleo de Artes Estrelas em Palco , by Cuando Cubango, and Vela Teatro, from Luanda. The production will pay homage to the city of Catumbela, which completed, on the 5th of this month, eight years of becoming a municipality. “Mar-KitTeatro” is held annually by the Colectivo de Artes 5 de Junho, from Benguela, in partnership with the Provincial Directorate of Culture.
