Motivated by the national holiday due to Carnival (13) in Angola, hundreds of national and foreign tourists climbed the province of Benguela, by road and air, looking for sun and beach tourism.
According to the head of the Provincial Department of Hospitality and Tourism of Benguela, João Calete, lodges, guesthouses and residential accommodation also have an occupancy rate of 100 percent.
The person responsible said that, despite the Luanda Carnival, Benguela once again received many national tourists from the country's capital, Zaire, Malanje and Huambo.
As for abroad, he highlighted the presence of tourists residing in Luanda, meanwhile coming from Namibia, South Africa and Portugal. For him, the high tourist demand during the Carnival period reaffirms Benguela as a destination of excellence for resident tourists.
