Africell promotes exclusive screening session of the documentary Lobito Bound

Africell held, in Benguela at Cinemax, an exclusive screening session of the documentary Lobito Bound, a work that places Angola at the center of new global economic and geopolitical dynamics, starting from the strategic Lobito Corridor.

The film follows explorer and presenter Dwayne Fields on a unique journey across Africa from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, along the Lobito Corridor, in partnership with Africell, which has been playing an active role in promoting connectivity and digital inclusion along this strategic axis.

Throughout the journey, “Lobito Bound” gives voice to local communities, leaders, workers, and experts, revealing how global disputes over resources, infrastructure, and influence directly impact the daily lives of populations living along the corridor.
The documentary provides an in-depth analysis of whether the Lobito Corridor can establish itself as a true engine of economic development, opportunity creation, and prosperity, as well as to what extent it will represent a meaningful shift in the international balance of power.

As a partner in this production, Africell also positions itself as a connecting axis between people, territories, and opportunities, supporting projects that promote Africa’s visibility on the global stage and contribute to a fairer, more informed, and more balanced understanding of the transformations underway on the continent.

The session in Benguela brought together institutional guests, such as the Vice Governor, partners, civil society representatives, media outlets, and local leaders, providing a privileged space for reflection and dialogue on the future of the Lobito Corridor and Angola’s role in this new frontier of African development.
