The centenary building of the Cabo Submarino Station, completely destroyed by a large fire in the early hours of March 28, 2015, functioned as the headquarters of the provincial directorates of Culture and Family and Promotion of Women in Benguela.
The former Companhia do Cabo Submarino - this iron and wood building arrived in Benguela, dismounted, from England. At the beginning of the 19th century, it constituted the privileged route of telecommunications, uniting London with Cape Twon.
