Promotion of Tourism

Luanda - The Secretary of State for Hotels, Paulino Baptista, considered today (Friday), in Luanda, Transportadora Aérea Angolana (TAAG) a fundamental partner for the promotion of national tourism and the country's image, in general, constituting a brand of pride for Angolans, as an official flag company.

“TAAG, as the national flag carrier, is a fundamental partner and an image of pride for any Angolan, so this brand image, side by side, with the promotion of tourism, must carry out the commercial and tourist marketing of the Angola brand” , said the ruler on the occasion of the signing of an agreement between this

company and INFOTUR.

For this reason, Paulino Baptista expressed satisfaction with the aforementioned protocol for boosting the promotion of tourism and culture in the country, highlighting that in this way the cultural representation of Angola, in the style of Angolanness, will always be an element to maintain in favor of the identity national.

For the Secretary of State for Hospitality, the signing of this memorandum represents the expression of a high degree of responsibility and maturity, in light of the major objectives defined by the Executive for the development of the hotel industry.
and national tourism, which depend on a strong and active promotion and promotion action to be achieved.

Therefore, he also expressed his satisfaction with the fact that TAAG and the Institute for Tourist Promotion have prioritized social communication in the protocol, as it will allow greater dissemination of internal and external promotion actions.

“Marketing, to promote a destination, as well as the action to attract investors, are quite expensive and there are almost no budgets to cover the costs of this operation, so the investments in this field of marketing and promotion cannot be seen as a cost, but as a benefit or a long-term investment” - he warned.

He added that tourism is indeed an industry that generates employment and income, but its practice requires attitudes from man, the people and the receiving country that create values of loyalty between the tourist and the destination, whether national or foreign.

Paulino Baptista, who represented the Minister of Hotels and Tourism at the ceremony, Pedro Mutindi, recalled that, since 2011, the country has had a national tourism strategy - a master plan, which sets out the lines of action for the tourism industry in Angola, actions on the national, regional and international market.

He added that this strategy is based on promoting Angola, not just as a brand, but as a tourist destination of excellence, judging by the magnitude of resources favorable to the sustainable development of the tourism industry, but that for its materialization it requires intensive promotion work.
