Today, May 5th, marks World Portuguese Language Day and, in reference to the date, Ondjango Literary, in partnership with Camões, I.P., holds the writing competition “Because the future is in the eyes of those who read”.
All people resident in Benguela with a minimum age of fifteen (15) years can apply for the competition.
The texts must have the title “Because the future is in the eyes of whoever reads” and a minimum number of 350 and a maximum of 500 words, which must be delivered to any member of Ondjango Literário on the days the library is open, via email (ondjangoliterario@gmail.com) or in PDF via Whatsapp (by number 929329504).
Registrations begin today and end on the 19th of the current month. The winners will be announced on the 29th, during the third session of a Text Writing Techniques workshop to be carried out by the designated Ondjango Literário.
The winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd classifieds) will receive a book and a guided visit to the Instituto Camões I.P. library. from Benguela. Furthermore, and for the love of the language, we will also hold a Reading Marathon in the community library's space on the 22nd of May, which will feature the participation of those registered and the general public.
