Organized by Companhia Ngola Teatro, in partnership with show producer Facul, the festival is a tribute to the figure of the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto and will feature representation from the provinces of Benguela , Luanda, Huambo, Bié, Cuanza-Sul, Namibe, Cuanza-Norte, Uíge and Huíla.
Speaking to Angop, the festival's artistic director, Avelino Dário, said that the presence of Companhia Baile Teatro from the city of São Paulo, in Brazil, was also confirmed, in addition to a group from São Tomé and Príncipe.
He highlighted that, after two editions, the Acácias Theater Festival managed to establish itself among the most important cultural events in Benguela, now reaching its internationalization to create a different cultural movement .
The general director of the Ngola Teatro Company also explained that the invited foreign groups will only arrive in the province of Benguela next week, with the national groups beginning to show off starting Friday.
He highlighted the importance of the festival in increasingly boosting the performing arts in Benguela, in particular, and in the country in general, especially because it will involve at least 160 theater artists, thus enabling exchange of experiences.
However, the person responsible guaranteed that everything was ready for the start of the event, which also includes the awarding of prizes in several categories, such as best show, group, actress and actor. p>
He also took advantage of the opportunity to appeal to the public's massive presence at Cine Monumental, to watch the 24 shows scheduled for ten days.
