Balombo is a town and municipality in the Benguela province of Angola.

On the way to Huambo, in Benguela province, Balombo is a fertile land with small corners ready to be discovered. Headquarters municipality with the same name, the former Sousa Lara village was forbidden territory for decades on end. It was a dangerous place on the road between two major cities in the south.
